ABOUT THE ACRO SERIES

The ACRO (Advanced Compact Reflex Optic) series was developed by Aimpoint to meet the growing demand for rugged enclosed micro red dot sights. Unlike open emitter systems, the ACRO is completely sealed and offers superior protection against the elements.

The original ACRO P-1 and C-1 earned praise for their compact footprint and exceptional reliability. With the second-generation ACRO models, Aimpoint introduced substantial upgrades in terms of battery life, brightness, and mechanical durability, leading to the launch of the ACRO P-2 (professional use) and C-2 (civilian use).

ACRO C-2 VS. P-2 – KEY DIFFERENCES

Battery: The C-2 uses a standard CR2032 battery, while the P-2 is equipped with a CR2032H (high-durability) battery. However, the P-2 is fully compatible with standard CR2032 batteries if needed, making battery sourcing flexible for both models.
Durability Testing: The P-2 is individually certified for military durability standards, including more extensive shock, vibration, and environmental tests. However, since the C-2 is manufactured on the same production line with the same materials, it is very likely to withstand the same conditions in practice, despite the lack of formal testing.
Brightness Settings: The P-2 includes additional night vision-compatible levels (4 vs. 1 in C-2), allowing finer adjustment for users operating under NV conditions.
Use Case: The C-2 is optimized for civilian, sporting, and duty use, while the P-2 targets professional military and law enforcement operators under extreme operational conditions.

ABOUT THE MODEL (AIMPOINT ACRO C-2)

The ACRO C-2 is optimized for civilian shooters, hunters, and competitive marksmen who need a compact and durable red dot sight. It features a 3.5 MOA dot for fast aiming and excellent visibility, even in bright daylight. The sight has 10 brightness settings, including one night vision-compatible level and one extra-bright daylight setting.

The optic is powered by a single CR2032 battery, offering up to 50,000 hours (over 5 years) of continuous use at brightness setting 6. It includes intuitive side-mounted controls and is compatible with a wide range of footprint adapters and mounts, including Aimpoint’s Acro interface and popular third-party systems.

Weighing only 60 g without the mount, the ACRO C-2 remains ultra-compact while delivering full-size performance. It is also recoil-rated for use on semi-auto pistols, shotguns, and even magnum rifles.

Želel bi kupiti Acro z montažo qd, vendar nisem prepričan o razliki v velikosti picatinny. Imam B&T APC9K Pro in to je tisto, kar bi uporabljal. Zdi se, da bi potreboval samo standardno velikost s qd, vendar sem želel samo preveriti.

Aimpoint ACRO C-2 should have a 3.5 MOA red dot (reticle). You may experience a different shaped red dot (this is applied to all red dot sights) due to a condition called astigmatism. Astigmatism is a very common eye condition in which either the cornea or the lens is irregularly shaped. This prevents light from entering the eye to meet at a single focal point at or behind the retina. Since astigmatic eyes can't focus light rays to a single focal point, vision is distorted.
