The Picatinny framework marks a notable enhancement over the traditional Weaver standard. Unlike the Weaver system, which has only a limited number of slots, the Picatinny rail boasts continuous slots across its entirety, providing enhanced flexibility for positioning devices at any desired point. Additionally, the slots on a Weaver rail are slimmer, measuring 3.8 mm, which permits scope mounts made for Weaver rails to be used on a Picatinny rail. However, due to differences in the width of the recoil stoppers, scope mounts specifically designed for the Picatinny rail cannot be accommodated on Weaver rails. Mounting Instructions

Clean the rifle's receiver thoroughly with a cleaning fluid, such as acetone, to remove all stains, grease, and oil. Once the surface is clean and dry, verify that the screws fit both the rail and the receiver holes. Before mounting the rail, apply a minimal amount of thread-locking fluid (278 or 648) to the screws, avoiding any contact with the mounting holes. Carefully clean any excess fluid around the rail using the cleaning fluid. Using a torque driver, tighten the screws to the appropriate torque (up to 3 Nm/26.5 in-lbs).
